Lionheart Tax And Accounting specializes in providing personalized tax and accounting services to individuals and small business in the Fishers area.
Richard Bramhill, CPA, personally provides tax and accounting services to individuals and small business clients.
We understand your busy schedule so weekend and evening appointments are available. We also are able to work together electronically using secure portals.
Below is an overview primarily focused on the process for tax returns, as business advisory and payroll have more variation. However, the technology sharing capabilities are applicable to all services.
Client Center Zoom Calls
We will post times here available for small group calls, or contact the office for a one-on-one call for help with getting started with the Client Center.
How do I become a client?
Call the office to speak with Richard, or send a request via the appointment request form on the website and we'll contact you.
How do I get registered for the Client Center?
You will be sent an email with a button to click to register. The email subject line is "Register Your Lionheart Client Center Account." Check the "How To Videos" page for more information.
How do I find the Client Center next time I need to login?
There is a button at the top right of the home page that says "Lionheart Client Center."
How do I communicate any extra details about my documents that I've uploaded?
In each section that asks for uploaded documents, there is a space to write some comments that Richard will see when he works on the tax return.
I've submitted my questionnaire, but now have an additional document. How do I re-submit?
Once the questionnaire is completed, you can't add documents into the questionnaire, but you can upload the document to the documents area.
I have a question or comment that is too complicated to explain in the comment.
You can call or email. Just because the technology is fantastic doesn't mean that a phone call isn't still better sometimes.
Can I still bring in my documents or mail them?
Yes, of course. We have a mail slot next to our door inside the building, or you can call and ask for curbside drop-off/pick-up during normal business hours.
Can we meet in the office?
Especially with the new strain of highly tranmissable COVID, we ask for your understanding to keep our staff and other clients safe during this critical time, and meet with us virtually. We like meeting in person, too, but must remain vigilant through our busiest season to stay healthy and minimize our in-person contact with our many clients. We all have to do our part to keep each other safe and not only do we want to remain safe ourselves, we also would not want to unknowingly impact any of our clients.
How do I receive and pay my invoice?
Your email will be placed in your Client Center and you will receive a notification. You can pay your invoice by using the "Pay My Invoice" button at the top right of the home page. Or you can mail a check.
What do I need to sign?
You will need to sign the engagement letter and either eFiling permission (Form 8879 for federal and state) or the actual tax return if not eFiling. Watch your email for more information on the engagement letter as this process will change with the new system. The 8879 form can be signed and uploaded.
What documents are available and how do I access them?
We will place your tax returns since 2017 into your Client Center. If you would like prior returns or other information that was in your old client portal, please contact the office and we will move it to the new Client Center.
I need to send a document to someone else. Can I do that?
Yes, you can send a secure link to your documents from the Client Center to a third party. For example, if you are refinancing your home and need to provide a tax return to the mortgage company, you can send a link with an expiration date to the mortgage company, where they can download it securely. This prevents tax returns with sensitive personal information from being sent through email.
Can my spouse and I both login?
Yes, you and your spouse can both have separate logins with your own email address. Email the office to set this up.
Can I see my business and personal with one login?
Yes, we can connect everything so that you can access it all from your one email address login.
How do I get the phone app?
Or, search your app store for "Onvio Client Center." This is its icon.
Check the "How To Videos" page for more information.
What can I do in the phone app?
The phone app is very similar to the online Client Center; you can complete tasks like the Questionnaire or Approvals and upload and access documents. The app is particularly good for photographing documents to upload neatly.
Something you can do in either the online Client Center or the app, but could be particularly useful from the app, is to send a link to documents to a third party. For example, if you are refinancing your home, you can send a secure link to your last tax return to your mortgage broker, with an expiration date. This allows you to provide the required information without emailing sensitive information.
What is the difference between the phone app and the online Client Center?
They are very similar. If you have documents which are scanned or downloaded, the online Client Center is an easy place to upload them, either in the questionnaire or separately to document folders. If you have paper documents, the app is particularly good for taking a photo of the document, removing the edges (like the countertop), and submitting it.
How secure is the client center?
We license our Client Center from a leader in the accounting industry. The security is like the security used by banks. Notifications that are sent may have "Onvio" in the sending address. If you have any questions about emails sent, please email or call the office.
We also recommend that you use the available Multi-Factor Authorization features.
I think I'm going to need a little extra help with the online tools. What do I do?
We will be hosting Zooms for clients to help get you started and answer specific questions. These will be held in a regular Zoom format rather than a webinar to allow for interaction. If you need some personalized help, call the office to setup a one-on-one Zoom meeting with Janna.
What changes are in place for COVID?
We have implemented the new Client Center tool specifically because it is easy to use for clients. We also have Janna available to help get you setup in Client Center. We'll meet in Zoom for as close as possible experience to our usual in-office meetings. We'll meet you at the outside door to receive or provide documents "curbside" style. If there is anything else we can do to continue collaborating together in a way that makes it as easy and safe as possible, please ask, as that is our ultimate goal. For more information, see our COVID page.
